Staff Profile - Alexandra Marcucci
■ Professional Profile An Associate Engineer at Sierra, Ms. Marcucci's primary responsibilities include ongoing reporting and analysis services related to rulemaking actions by the California Air Resources Board (CARB); data collection and analysis; and technical writing support for a variety of stationary and mobile source projects. Work has included providing support in the preparation of amendments to Regional Transportation Plans and Transportation Improvement Plans; reviewing technical documents addressing air quality regulations, emission estimates from on-road and non-road sources, and emission mitigation measures; and analyzing emissions data utilizing both modeling and quantitative techniques. She has also assisted in the preparation of engine certification applications both for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and CARB, including use of online application submission tools. She has working knowledge of federal and state engine certification and testing requirements; federal and state fuel regulations; and California transit regulations. Her computer and modeling proficiencies include use of ArcMap GIS and a variety of air quality modeling software, including MOVES, EMFAC2007, CT-EMFAC, and NONROAD; MATLAB, STATA, and R statistical software; Visual Basic programming language; and GraphViz visualization software. Ms. Marcucci has been working the air quality field since 2005. Prior to joining Sierra Research in 2010, she worked as an intern at Sonoma Technology while completing graduate studies at the University of California, Davis, Institute of Transportation Studies. She has a B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Transportation Technology & Policy from the University of California at Davis.
